FASTSIGNS® of West Babylon, NY, a local sign and graphics provider, was recently converted from a Sign Me Up location to a FASTSIGNS center. The center is located in a 5,000 square ft fabrication and training facility. The team consists of franchisees, John D. Garland and Bryan Schwartz.
Bryan Schwartz began Sign Me Up in 2009 and has worked with various companies in the signage industry since 2006. John D. Garland is the founder and President of ClicClix Media Group, LLC, which is a marketing and business development firm based out of Hempstead, New York. He entered into the visual communications field while working at Color Cru Custom Graphics, Colorgraphics R Us, and Print International. During his time as VP of Marketing at Color Cru, Garland oversaw marketing projects for a wide range of celebrity and corporate clientele, including Tracy Morgan, 50 Cent, Gym Class Heroes, United Health Care, Domino's Pizza, Boost Mobile and others. In 2007, after creating marketing content for Franklin Square Ford and Print International, Garland branched out and created his own brand of graphic design and marketing services through his company, ClicClix FotoLabs, that later became ClicClix Media Group, LLC.
In 2018, John Garland teamed up with Peter Kourunis and Bryan Schwartz, founders of Sign Me Up Signs and Advertising, a small Long Island-based sign franchise and created a joint venture to grow the Sign Me Up brand. In 2019, FASTSIGNS®, the leading sign and visual communications franchisor in North America with over 725 locations worldwide, recognized the small local franchise and acquired Sign Me Up Signs and Advertising. As a part of the agreement, Garland and Schwartz remained business partners to operate two FASTSIGNS franchise locations.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, FASTSIGNS® of West Babylon, NY donated lawn signs to local middle and high schools to help celebrate graduations that had been lost as a result of the New York on Pause Executive Order to curb the spread of the disease. They fabricated and distributed much needed face shields, acrylic shields, respiratory masks for seniors and essential workers and also provided window graphics for businesses announcing their continued service within the community. They also served to educate the general public about how to prevent the spread of the virus by instructing customers both online and with related posters, social distancing markers, and restriction and mask requirement signs
